Our History

Green Engineering activity continued with the realisation of many ethanol plants in Turkey, for the production of Suma , Extra Neutral Alcohol and Raki (the Turkish national spirit). The supremacy of Green Engineering was confirmed again by the fact that our Turkish Customers acquired 95% of the Raki market in Turkey , making Green Engineering the primary reference for beverage alcohol plants in Turkey. The new company assets and the succesful business in Turkey allowed us to expand and invest in research & development. The mission of Green Engineering came to represent the State of The Art in ethanol plant technologies, staying always one step ahead of other companies involved in this field. We were the first to introduce in the ethanol field a fully 3D engineering environment and the computerized process simulation.

Again in the spirit of representing excellence in the ethanol field , Green Engineering estabilished a research center in chemistry and biology (The PUC - Polo Universitario di Colle Val d'Elsa) with the University of Siena , in order to do research on the effects of materials used in distillation equipment on the final alcohol quality. With the PUC Green Engineering has also patented a process for the production of biohydrogen. During the last ten years Green Engineering has designed and realised
many industrial plants for E.N.A. production, and for biofuels production. Among the Customers mentioned in our Reference List, we can find some of the most prestigious alcohol manufacturers of the world, such as R.L.Seale, who produces its awarded Caribbean rum at Forsquare Distillery in Barbados, or William Grant & Sons (Scotland) or the Tate&Lyle group, for which we realised the Greenwich distillery in England. Moreover GE can count on high level international synergies, such as the cooperation with AMS, an historical German company specialising in breweries and soft-drink plants.
