The land of harmony

Green Engineering is based in Italy , with headquarters located in Val d’Elsa, in the famous “Chiantishire” region (Tuscany) . We could say that the Sienese Chianti area we enjoy today is the Land of harmony. It’s worthwhile pausing here for a moment to consider the man-nature relationship. There’s a reason why we find so many little villages, parish churches and farmhouses spread all over the territory that whet our desire to live a genuine country life. Val d'Elsa is both 'the door to the sea", the path of the sacred, the main artery that drives from Florence to Siena. It owes its development to the Francigena route and its current aim to the sustainable economy thanks to the encounter that takes place along its routes. Val d'Elsa continuously produces: wine, olive oil, but also glass and machinery, paper and electronics, ceramics and furniture. As the bizarre river Elsa has shaped the terrain, so the river of men walking through the millennia has shaped the landscape, the villages and the character.

The culture of doing, a way of life

History often has fun playing with the apparent contradictions, so even though Val d'Elsa was above all a route that over the last hundred years has lived apart because distant from the usualTuscan itineraries. This distance, except for Poggibonsi, Monteriggioni and Colle from the Florence-Siena highway, has preserved and even more refined its vocation to accommodate tavellers, which is not just business as usal, but willingness to meet. Val d'Elsa concentrates in itself all the distinctive identity that are Tuscan as art, good food and drinking, the countryside, peasant dwellings and defines their identity with clarity, in the words of Machiavelli, who lived not far from here .
